Inflatable Manufacturer – Repairs and Maintenance

Like many things, inflatables are not indestructible, no matter how cool they look or how well they are designed. An important aspect of looking for an inflatable manufacturer is whether or not they have services related to repair, maintenance, and storage. While we at Inflatable Design Group aren’t going to give you up-front details about these services on our main web page, we are more than happy to talk about handling your giant inflatables.

To start off this blog post, as an inflatable manufacturer we want to talk about some ways you can properly handle your giant inflatable products, no matter where you get them from. Your giant inflatable lizard might look imposing, but the truth is that all inflatables are made of fabrics than can easily be ripped when handled improperly.

Ripping doesn’t only occur when an inflatable is inflated. Inflatables can also take a bit of damage while in storage. Inflatables need to be properly cleaned before they are stored. Even tiny bits of debris can have a devastating effect on the material that an inflatable manufacturer makes them out of. Make sure your inflatable is clear of any sand or dirt before you pack it up.

One thing you can do with your giant inflatables is to lay them flat on a clean surface and then sweep them off with a brush or broom. The kind with bristles should be fine, but if you have something that can remove debris with air blasts, go for it. Once you have cleaned off the visible debris, you can go ahead and clean it off with water.

When it comes to washing your inflatable, don’t forget to let it dry completely before you pack it up. This is also something that should be paid attention to when it comes to giant inflatables that use water, such as water slides

The reason an inflatable manufacturer would advise this, is for a very simple reason. Water in dark places will cause mold to grow. Over time, mold can eat large and small holes through your inflatables.

At the end of the day, your inflatables will not last forever. Rips will happen at some point. When this does happen, be sure you know an inflatable manufacturer who has repair services. For more information about this, you can check out our main page. Other than that, we invite you to share any maintenance tricks you might have related to giant inflatables in the comment section below.
